We cover all design procedures, decision-making processes, compromises, calculations, and how to select suitable components, including the necessary safety margins.

By the end of the workshop, you should be able to design complete and fully functioning Buck and Boost power supplies, with all component part numbers specified.


In the this workshop, participants will learn about designing opto-isolated Flyback power supplies including opto-isolated control loops.

The workshop covers design procedures, decision-making processes, compromises, calculations, and how to select suitable components, including the necessary safety margins.

By the end of the workshop, you should be able to design complete and fully functioning opto-isolated Flyback power supplies, with all component part numbers specified.


Design is a real-life design practice workshop. Using numerous videos, presentations, and laboratory notes, we build on the material and design examples of our theoretical workshops and guide the participants through an entire design example, component by component.  As you complete your design you solder the relevant components on your design example kit until the entire power supply is complete.
