Current Transformer based Current Sense Circuit Design for Current Mode Power Supplies

In this video Dr Seyed Ali Shirsavar from Biricha explain the operation of a current sense transformer and how we select the correct one for our power supply.

We also discuss “current gain” of our current sense circuit for loop disguises and how incorrectly selected current transformer could cause a flattening of the current sense signal and subharmonic oscillations.

As it is customary in our videos experimental results will be given at the end of the video to show what happens in real life.
