STM32 and Biricha Digital Power
Digital power expertise for the STM32 ecosystem
Biricha has collaborated with ST to provide you with the best possible resources and and expert-level training for your digital power applications based on the STM32 development ecosystem.
Biricha provides world leading hands-on design workshops which teach, from first principles, how to design and implement digital power supplies and digital Power Factor Correction (PFC) stages based on the STM32 range of MCUs from STMicroelectronics. Find out what tools and resources are available to you today using the links below.
Hands-on Training Workshops
Biricha has been running in-depth laboratory-based design workshops covering both Digital Power Supply Design and Digital Power Factor Correction Design since 2008. The aim of these highly technical, no marketing, workshop is to help engineers, design test and debug their products quickly and easily. These highly popular workshops run in both Europe and the USA several times a year. The attendees of the intensive 4-day workshop receive software templates, exercises, workshop material and lab notes as well as complimentary software to enable them to design their digital power supplies. Please visit our ST workshops page for more information.
ST-WDS: Free Digital Power Supply Design Tool for STM32
Biricha has released a special version of the “WDS – Power Supply Design Tool” for use with the STM32 range of MCUs from STMicroelectronics. This ST WDS design tool is free-to-use and allows the user to quickly design their power stage and stabilize their digital control loop using an STM32 MCU.
Furthermore the tool allows importing of real measurements from an OMICRON Lab Bode100 network analyzer for comparison with real life power supplies.
For more information and to download for free visit the ST-WDS page.
ST-PLD: Free Digital PFC Loop Design Tool for STM32
For digital PFC design, Biricha has released a special version of the “PLD – PFC Loop Design Tool” for use with the STM32 range of MCUs from STMicroelectronics. To the best of our knowledge PLD is the only tool available that automates the design of power factor correction power stages. This ST PLD design tool is free-to-use and allows the user to quickly design and stabilize their digital PFC stage controlled using an STM32 MCU.
For more information and to download for free visit the ST-PLD page.
Getting Started with Digital Power
The STM32 Discovery Kit is a digital power starter kit controlled by the STMicroelectronics ARM® Cortex®-M4 core-based STM32G474RET6 microcontroller.
The kit showcases the features of digital power including digital voltage mode control and digital peak current mode control with an onboard Buck and Boost converter. This a great tool for those getting started in digital power.
The example project files and application notes can be downloaded from the Discovery Kit page.
